In 2022, turnover gained by German carpentry and timber construction companies is said to grow by 5.5% vis à vis 2021 to €10.246bn.

According to the 2022 status report published on 20 May by the VerbandHolzbauDeutschland around 25% of the increase will ensue from additional work and 75% from price increases. In 2020, a growth of 15.3% had been registered; additional work had still contributed two-thirds to this figure and price grows for timber construction products one-third.
